Applicability (statewide, local, limited): STATEWIDE
The Building Code Compliance Division performs plan reviews and inspections for commercial building projects not located in a jurisdiction with a certified building department and for all State properties and universities. Enforcement of the residential code is limited to local building departments. The Ohio Board of Building Standards certifies county, townships and municipal building departments to enforce state codes.
