The State of Hawaii amends the IBC and the amendments are found in the following link  Microsoft Word – 2018 IBC Proposed Amendments w Addenda 081721 clean.docx (hawaii.gov)  The State does have its own IBC Appendix Chapter W entitled Hawaii Wind Design Provisions for New Construction. Amendments Disadvantaging Wood Construction:

Amendments do impact Wood Construction.

Next Update Cycle:

The State adopted the 2018 ICC codes in 2021 so we are not yet sure when the next adoption cycle will begin.
