FSAC Guides Fire Safety and WUI Engagement

AWC hosted an in-person Fire Safety Advisory Committee (FSAC) meeting in Washington, D.C. The committee received an update on all AWC’s fire service engagement efforts over the past year and previewed the now-released construction fire safety app. As a case study, the FSAC watched a video on the Southpark construction fire in Charlotte, discussed construction fire safety practices and how to communicate them effectively, and reviewed recent WUI code issues and fire testing results. The meeting ran alongside the Congressional Fire Service Institute conference allowing unified and strategic networking.
