Construction Fire Safety Checklist

AWC released a new app designed to help make fire safety inspections on construction sites more accessible and safer. The Construction Fire Safety Checklist, or CFS Checklist, contains a daily fire inspection checklist that meets the 2021 International Fire Code requirements and allows site safety directors to complete the checklist as they walk through their daily inspection.

The app was developed in direct response to feedback from AWC’s Fire Service Advisory Council, who recognized a need for a straightforward, code-compliant way to encourage daily inspections. Once completed, the report can be exported as a PDF to be saved and shared with the relevant fire and building officials.

The app has already been widely adopted across the U.S., with the fire service sharing their support and positive feedback. The app’s release has helped strengthen our industry’s relationship with the fire service and building inspectors by working with them to develop a tool they saw a need for and establishing AWC as a trusted authority and partner to ensure construction fire safety.

The app is available for both Apple and Android users and can be downloaded on phones or tablets.
