WASHINGTON – "What does 'carbon neutral' mean?" It's a great question, and today the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) and American Wood Council (AWC) have launched a new web video explaining the concept – from a biomass energy users' perspective – in only 90 seconds.

WASHINGTON – In joint comments being filed today, the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) and the American Wood Council express concern that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) proposal on Carbon Pollution Emission Guidelines for Existing Stationary Sources: Electric Generating Units (EGUs) exceeds the agency's authority and has potentially harmful implications for business and consumers alike.
AWC, AF&PA respond to EPA's federal ozone standard review

WASHINGTON – The American Wood Council (AWC) and the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) are concerned about today's proposal by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that the federal ozone standard be tightened to between 65 and 70 ppb from the current level of 75 ppb set in 2008.
AWC announces self-directed study program

LEESBURG, VA. – The American Wood Council is now offering a complimentary self-directed learning program on designing with wood. Courses are related to the use of traditional and engineered wood products for residential and commercial applications and are available on the AWC website.
AWC supports House passage of "Secret Science Reform Act"

WASHINGTON – American Wood Council President and CEO Robert Glowinski issued the following statement on the passage of H.R. 4012, the "Secret Science Reform Act of 2014," by the U.S. House of Representatives. If enacted, the bill would require the Environmental Protection Agency to use reproducible science and disclose all information used in its decision before finalizing regulations.
